Modern Camouflage |
| Early camouflage did a good job of concealing the surface (by having the uniforms in colors that would match the local enviroment), but they did nothing for any of the other principles of camouflage. They still revealed the outline of a person in the field. With that came today's modern camouflage. Featuring random patterns of different colors that match different enviroments (greens and browns for woodland areas, light grays and white for snow terrain, and various tans for desert areas), these modern suits break up the outline of a human body, conceals the shine and shadows given off, leave no silouhette, and now are made to fit a little bit looser so that it is not perfectly in the shape of a human figure. These new designs have proven to be quite successful in paintball, war, and hunting. |
